The Waterline is an adaptive reuse project located in an expansive industrial warehouse property in Santa Barbara’s burgeoning Funk Zone. Originally built on the rubble of the historic 1925 earthquake, over the ensuing 90 years the property has been home to a bevy of industrial uses before being freshly re-envisioned by Miramar Group as a community-centric destination for food, beer and wine and works and wares created by local artisans and skilled craftspeople.
As a Santa Barbara based firm led by locally born and raised partners, Miramar Group felt it imperative that the Waterline be both transformed into a vibrant community gathering place and be comprised of merchants that are part of the very community they serve.
All local, all personally invested in Santa Barbara and all providing the highest quality products in their respective disciplines, Topa Topa Brewing Co., the Nook by Master Chef Norbert Schulz, Lama Dog Tap Room and Bottle Shop, Blair Fox Cellars, Fox Wine Co. and The Guilded Table artisan collective will all share the expansive 10,000+ sq. ft. Waterline, working together to create a dynamic and authentic Funk Zone experience for local and visiting patrons alike.
Throughout the property, multiple unique but complementary spaces have been designed to allow visitors to enjoy dishes from the Nook that have been specially created to pair beautifully with the beer and wine provided by Topa Topa, Lama Dog, Blair Fox Cellars and Fox Wine Co.
